2003 GQ Men of the Year Awards October 21, 2003 by Amy
I was lucky enough to be able to go to the GQ awards in NYC. A friend of mine and I went to the Regent Hotel on Wall Street to see what we could see. We got there around 5:30 pm knowing the show started at 9 and wanting to get a good view. They had a red carpet set up outside the hotel along the street, and a place for fans across the street about 15ft away. Surprisingly, not many people showed up and we were front and center for all the star arrivals. We saw plenty of stars arrive, but as my watch read closer and closer to 9, I began to wonder where Orlando was. Finally at 9:15 they closed the street to all cars. My hopes were dashed and I lost any hope of seeing Orlando. Fortunately my friend, Dani, is less pessimistic and insisted we stay.

The stars arriving were directed down the red carpet to talk with the press and then entered the building, but some were not coming from a car, but from a back door of the hotel some feet away along the street.

During the awards, some stars came out of that door and hung out on the steps for a breath of fresh air. Orlando was one. He came out with Anna Kournikova. He had his back to us while he, and get this, smoked! Well, I didn't care! I called his name and was ignored by him. There were literally maybe 7 girls around including me and Dani, as well as some photographers, but for the most part it was a small group and I know he heard me, especially since I was the only one who called to him. Some of the girls yelled at me for calling him saying he wouldn't come over if I did. From what I've heard of Orlando, he always seems willing to visit with his fans, and I don't think staying silent would have helped. Besides, I wasn't screaming, I literally just said his name to get his attention, like you would call a friend who is across the room. Still, out numbered, I complied. After he finished smoking, he turned and waved at us. I held up my autograph book and asked him to sign. He motioned that he needed to go back inside but that he would be back. My guess is that he was directed to the after party right after the awards, as the only people going out the back were those leaving in a limo, but as he crossed the street to the after party, I waved to him, and he smiled, waved, and saluted before disappearing through the doors.

As a side note, he and Anna didn't seem to talk. Just thought I should throw that in. I found his choice of company interesting, but perhaps it was just a coincidence that they were both there at the same time.

Hollywood Film Awards October 20, 2003 by Samantha
My name is Samantha and I was at the film festival on October 20. I was the first one in the fan line and I waited for 3 hours to see Orlando. He finally came over to the fans and I asked if I could get a pic with him and he was like oh ya sure. So he came over and held BOTH my hands. He looked me in the eyes and said Hi. Then he looked away and looked back up at me and said OH HI!! like he recognized me, maybe from The Two Towers premiere last year!! Then he grabbed me over for the picture and KISSED my head!!! Then we took the picture and I told him I was sooo happy he was getting the awards. He was like Oh thank you soo much that's so nice.

Then he went over to the press to be interviewed and photographed and he looked back at me and SMILED at me when I waved at him! YAY!! It was the best night ever. So much fun. Well I'll make this story short and to the point, thanx for reading and sharing in my JOY!!

Hollywood Film Awards October 20, 2003 by Lily
After reading Sonia's encounter, I feel bad, I was probably one of those evil people that were pushing her! I doubt it though, I was ALL over the place. Where do I start?

Okay, first off I get panic attacks when I have to deal with traffic, so I avoid L.A. as much as possible. I backed out of going to the POTC premiere and TOTALLY regreted it, so I wasn't going to miss this. I got all the info on the event, and decided I was going to have flowers sent to him, then I was like, "IM GOING!!!". I made dinner and hotel reservations, so that way they couldn't throw me out. I used to work at a hotel, I know all the tricks! So I was going, then I wasn't going, I finally decided to go ten minutes before we were to leave. I hauled "butt" down to Beverly Hills sure that we were going to miss him. My friend had been late and I was pretty upset. We were going to wear "black tie" attire so we could blend in, but I changed my mind -- we still dressed nice though so we wouldn't stand out too much. We parked and went to the hotel -- that's when I saw the cars and media and knew that the event hadn't started yet. We went up to the front doors and kinda got a feel for the layout, and we saw Neve Campbell come up. I'll just say that I only saw a couple celebs, my eyes were strictly for Orlando, there were so many stars there and I didn't notice.

So my friend says, "Here comes another car." , I look and see this guy get out and he is tall and has a blond mohawk. I was like, "THERE HE IS, IT'S ORLANDO!!!!! QUICK GET THE CAMERAS!!!" (Yes I took two cameras!) I knew the mohawk was his cousin. Just then, I haul butt over to him, I got there before his publicist and agent even (I'm thinking that's who they were)! I grabbed his arm and asked if I could get a photo with him. I think I might have startled him because I came up fast from behind. Oops! I said something to him, but I have no idea what. Whenever stuff like this happens, I always remember what went down, but ALWAYS forget what was said. That is what happened when I met Jude Law. So this group of people grabbed him and pulled him into the media ring. Now understand that the entire front of this hotel is crescent shaped and all glass. I wanted to run in, but the security was at the front door, so I ran (yeah, RAN) the opposite direction looking for another door.

Thank Jesus I didn't run into the glass thinking it was an open door! Now note, I was wearing super tight jeans and spiked stilettos, I could've killed myself, but I made it! Phew!!! I went up and stood next to all the photographers, I couldn't get a good angle on him at all, I got a photo of Geoffry Rush instead. Orlando was heading over to the media and it looked as though he was being pulled in all different directions. He was taking photos, then being interviewed, then running over to the little group of fans behind the rope (Sonia!). I was too far away from him, and was NOT going to risk my time and my life running back around the way we came. I told my friend that I was just gonna barge! I was going through security and across the red carpet to where Orlando was! Yes I did, I event cut through Ellen DeGeneres' interview! Oooppss!!!!! I was at the front doors and still couldn't get a good shot, so back across the red carpet I went to the "fan area". I totally saw him taking a photo with girls who must have been Sonia and her friends. I still wasn't satisfied with my location, I had been warned by a security gaurd to stay behind the rope. What does THAT mean to ME? So I shot off again, across the red carpet (are you getting dizzy yet?).

I stood by the door, next to the Access Hollywood people, where Orlando was being interviewed. Some guy tells me, "Do you mind we're trying to work.", I hadn't even done anything but stand there, so I said, "So WORK!" I got a couple shots of Orlando, then decided I was going to give him something, so after his interview (I waited I didn't want to intrude on that) I went up to him, he had his hands together in front of him, and I grabbed his hand and slipped my card into his hand (I FREAKIN' HELD ORLANDO BLOOM'S HAND!!!!!!!!!!!) His hands are soooo smooth and were a bit clammy and small, but that doesn't matter. Anyway, he looked at me and smiled and said thanks. So off I went again, into the media gallery, where I stayed the rest of the time he was out. I moved along as he did. I stood like 2 feet away from him the whole time, just taking photo after photo. At one point he was asked a question and he kinda laughed when he looked at me and said a bit about how he's got really great fans. I talked to these other girls that had made their way back there, then security started to harrass my friend and I had to go straighten out the situation. Orlando went into the ballroom, we went to dinner, and that was my evening with the one and only Orlando Bloom!

Since then I have gone through shock, disbelief, extreme happiness, and even a little depression. I loved meeting him, it was a dream come true, but in my dreams, he always falls in love with me in the end! Despite all that, Im really looking forward to seeing him again, in December, at the ROTK premiere.

Cheers, ladies!

Ok, it's very hard for me to know where to begin this story. Part of me says, "Get to the point quickly!" while the other part knows I can't do that no matter how hard I try. I'm long-winded, a drama queen, and have to squeeze every little detail I can remember into this because...well, I'm a writer at heart and it's in my blood. So if you're not prepared to read through a lot of unnecessary fluff, I suggest skimming 'til you see the name or word you want to see. Otherwise, hope you have a nice chunk of time on your hands....hunker down, folks, 'cause this one is a doozy!

I'm in California right now on my first trip away from home, on my own. Having a total blast with my girls Shawna, Nelly, and Von. They are taking great care of me, and making sure I HAVE FUN at this slightly difficult time in my life. They know how crazy I am about Orlando Bloom, and they knew that he was going to be in Beverly Hills on the 20th for the Hollywood Film Awards. It has been on the agenda to try and get a real life glimpse of Orlando since I planned this trip all those weeks ago, but because of my luck being as bad as it is, it was one of those things I didn't expect to pan out. Especially when I called the Beverly Hills Hilton for information this morning and was told unless I was a guest of the hotel or the dinner that I would NOT be allowed at the event :o( Being the pessimistic person I am, and very very easily discouraged, I told everyone what I was told and said we shouldn't even bother going down to the Hills. It's an hour drive, not to mention it's been! BOILING HOT here in Cali since I arrived. But, of course, my girls wouldn't have it and we went anyways.

In what I can only assume to be a sign from whoever was looking down on me, we were in the car listening to KIIS FM, LA's radio station that plays "all of TODAY'S hits." And guess what comes on the radio? A song that is at LEAST 5 years old (probably more). What song, you ask? Why none other than the song I set my last Orlando tribute video to...."Too Good To Be True" as sung by Lauryn Hill!! I immediately sat up in the car, squealed, freaked...told the girls why, and they also insisted that it had to be a sign. Little did I know how right we all were :oP

We drove by the hotel to see absolutely nothing going on, so we decide to go driving around. We got to eat at Pink's (great hot dogs, although I was too nervous to eat properly), and see some stars homes (we're convinced we were almost rundown by Jack Osbourne :oP). That took up almost the whole day, and I finally decided I wanted to see Orlando badly enough that I would shell out the money to rent a room for us at the Hilton. I told myself this was once-in-a-lifetime, and it wasn't going to break me (I save) so, let's do it!

Not sure how long before 6 p.m. we ended up back at the hotel, but things were getting ready to get going. We parked in the parking garage, and ended up coming in the back way...and after walking a ways...we ended up in the TV crew press pit! It was just an area roped off, but my friends & I just kind of walked right into it and nobody said anything to us! Figuring I could save myself hundreds of dollars AND get a glimpse of Orlando, I said we should just stay there. But Shawna pointed out it was all video cameras, and us taking pictures from there would look weird, so we decided not to stay.

We went outside and around to where Registration was, and when we entered the hotel, we noticed a "fan pit." There were people standing there with cameras, markers, and stuff to be signed (one fan had a copy of THE FACE). So instead of going to check-in, we just slip into the crowd behind the rope and decided to play our odds. SO glad we did!

Unfortunately, we didn't get there early enough to be right behind the rope. There were about 3 or 4 people in front of us, and even though Shawna is a beyond marvelous photographer, she's short! LoL, so she was BEGGING people to just let her kneel in front of them, and saying she would give them free photos of anything she got (and she would get great pics 'cause she has a professional camera), but NOBODY budged. :( It really sucks when you realize some fans are just NOT the giving kind. So we were on our own. Nelly isn't a fan of crowds & Von isn't Orlando obsessed, so they stayed at the back, against a wall as Shawna & I planted ourselves in "the pit" and got ready for a fight! LoL

While in the pit, we made friends with a couple of very nice blonde ladies who were behind us. I think they were hotel guests who just happened upon everything because they kept asking what was going on? Who is that? And since Shawna & I knew all about this thanks to Ka-Bloom, we had all the answers for them :oP That made them "decide to stick with us" since we "knew everything." They also saw the Orlando photo I was holding (hoping for an autograph) and inquired as to who he was. I told them, and they were amazed at how different he looked (knew him from LotR). I told them he was the only person I was there to see, and if I did, I could die happy. Since they were taller, they promised to keep an eye out.

I saw and/or have pics of Bob Goen from Entertainment Tonight, Scarlett Johnasson (sp?), Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Tilly (really dark pic), Neve Campbell, Geoffrey Rush, Anthony Hopkins, and others. Before I knew it, flashbulbs had once again started to go off to our right (the photography line was to our right) and the ladies told me, "There he is!" and so did Shawna. Unfortunately, I couldn't see him over the heads of the 2 girls and guy in front of me, but Orlando eventually came into view, and I knew what Heaven was. *sigh*

He was dressed in all black. Nice, fancy, shiny (and kinda big looking :naughty:) black shoes, black dress slacks, suit jacket, buttoned up shirt, and his hair looked positively perfect, and I think he had "product" (as the Fab 5 would call it) in it AS WELL as a zig-zag split (at least from the look of it in my "helicopter photos"...holding the camera up over my head, praying, and snapping). Bottom line: he looked stunning! And as he was going down the line, I saw him stop and goof with Geoffrey Rush, and he was smiling SO big and bright and looked so happy to be there....gah! My heart just skipped a beat.

Knowing him like we do...doll that he is....as soon as he finishes posing for the last photographer, Orlando makes a beeline for the pit. In other words, the man starts walking right towards us!! AHHHHH! Of course, there were people in front of me, so I wasn't right there, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to try. As I held up the picture of Orlando I had in my hand, hoping to catch his attention (as I've seen fans do in London and at Disneyland), the blonde ladies & Shawna start pushing me forward. The blonde ladies say, "Go for it girl! There's your man!" while Shawna is saying, "Get in there!" I don't know how I didn't do my usual "lock up and miss out" routine, but I didn't. As he is finishing signing some stuff and taking some pics with the fans in front of me, I hold out my right hand, look him in the eye, and ask, "Can I get a pic with you please?" and I know I sounded desperate. As he is being PULLED by another fan away from me, he leans in for a pict! ure with her and says in that lovely British voice of his, "Yeah sure" as he reaches for my right hand with HIS right hand, and grabs it. Yes, ladies, I held the tips of Orlando's fingers....I held his hand for a few brief moments....perish with me, won't you? :shiny:

When he's done with that photo, he comes over to me or draws me closer to him (not sure exactly what happened). I turn around towards the pit and Shawna. Shawna says, "Give me your camera," so I hand her my digi cam. I lean towards my right, towards Orlando, and am grinning like an idiot as I feel his temple make contact with mine. Yes, you read right, we touched heads :p Stupid, I know, but it happened and it's emblazoned on my mind!!! So we're leaning together and smiling (at least I assume he smiles...especially since Shawna told me we looked "cute") and Shawna attempts to take the picture of us with MY digi camera.

Doll, doll, DOLL that he is....after she snaps, he asks, "Did you get it?" Shawna replied with, "I don't know" because she wasn't sure, and Orlando looked as if he was ready to try again. Unfortunately, those rude fans I spoke of earlier had other plans for him and pulled him and his attentions elsewhere. And as more proof of my horrible luck....I grabbed my digi cam and checked for the pic only to find....nothing. It decided to be a you-know-what and NOT take the pic. *sigh* I was in such shock from the disappointment that I burst out crying, effectively drawing attention to me and my friends. The security guard who had thrown out an autograph collector early on for not having a room key then asked us for ours, which we didn't have. I'm standing there crying on Von's shoulder, and he's basically kicking us out. He didn't seem to want to as he told Shawna we weren't doing anything wrong, but his boss was on him to make sure non-guests were cleared out. I then decided I didn't want to shell out the money for a room and that we should just go, so we left the hotel lobby.

As we're walking out, I stop and look through the big glass window as Orlando is attentively listening to and answering the questions of the first reporter in the press crew line. I know I must've looked absolutely pathetic standing there staring at him...I had just been crying, I felt absolutely miserable, and I imagine it looked like a bad movie :p . When I finally managed to draw my attention away from his lovely face, I noticed 2 girls casually dressed like us were standing on a platform with camera crews in the pit! I got ticked and said, "We might as well go do what they are doing." So we did.

We went back into the hotel the way we had come from before, and Shawna & I went into the video crew press pit. Shawna immediately got up on the platform and put her God given, remarkable photography talents to use as I just kind of tried to get into a position where I could see Orlando. It was surprisingly not difficult. I also whipped out my digi camera and proceeded to take pics. Some came out, a lot didn't (darn machine!), but I'm very happy with how everything turned out in the end! As Orlando made his way down the line of interviewers, Shawna captured some really unbelievable moments, and I even caught a few cute ones myself :p . Not to mention, watching Orlando with the interviewers was an experience. As my friend Nelly said, "He listens with his whole body," which he really does. He gave everyone equal and undivided attention, and was very honest and wonderful the whole time. We hoped maybe we could catch him at the end of the line and try a re-do of my pic with him,! but he was immediately surrounded and whisked into the ballroom before anyone could get to him! And so it was the end of my Big O Adventure

All in all, my meeting with him was no more than 30 seconds, but it is completely etched in my memory for all eternity. And all thanks to my amazing friends Shawna, Nelly, & Von who kept hope alive every time I didn't. Not to mention Shawna's unreal Orlando photos!!! All in all, though I am a bit sad I don't have my pic WITH Orlando, I got to see, be close to, and touch the man!!! How in the BLUE HELL can I complain? I can't!

Lili Claire Foundation's 6th Annual Benefit October 18, 2003 by Jaylee
I met Orlando Bloom at the Lili Claire benefit on October 18.2003. My friend is a publicist and offered to talk to his agent for me and get him to come talk to me. He first came up to me my cousin and some friends right after he finished his red carpet deput. He was gorgeous of course and he cmae up to us. Of course at first I was too much in shock to do anything and he kisssed my 13 yr old cousin then my dad and my aunt pused me into him almost literally. He hugged me and kissed me on my head three times throughout the 20 minutes I was with him, and kiss him myself though I only got apic of me kissing him. HE is the sweetest guy ever and he is really funny. When I questioned him about his mystery tattoo he lifted up his shirt revealing to me the sun on his sexy stomach and then unbuttoned the cuffs around his writst and he showed me his elvish tattoo! Those are the only tattoos he has (sorry girls) The mystery one is a hoax! He is soo sexy I was totally blessed to meet him and I was also fortunate enough to be on Access Hollywood with him! (I was taking his picture! I look forward to hopefully see him next year.

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Rachel McNally
I was lucky enough to go to the premiere because my dad was Gibbs in the film. I will just tell you what happened at the party. We got to the party after the film and Foxette and I were told ORLANDO was on the first floor where we were, so we just casually went round the room and we couldn't find him so we went upstairs to the second floor and we were in the door way of the Cigar Salon( don't worry he wasn't smoking) when Foxette turned around and whispered excitedly "HE'S BEHIND ME, HE'S BEHIND ME," so I said calmly "Let's go say hello." so we walked up to him, at the same time as someone else was and so we were going to wait when she gestured for us to go first (thank you). I had met him in LA when they were filming because dad took us on set, and so I went up to him and said "Hi Orlando, how are you?" and he said "Fine, how are you?" as he said this HE GAVE ME A HUG AND A KISS ON THE CHEEK AT THE SAME TIME so he had his arm around my neck and his lips on my cheek. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. I said "I'm good, this is my friend Liz." he then said hi to Liz and gave her a hug I am not going to tell you any more because the rest is just everyday life stuff that happened but what I can say is that I saw Kiera Knightley again and I'm sure she didn't mean to blank anybody but you just don't know how hard it is being 18 and famous you can't do everyday normal teenage stuff any more, also you don't know how many interviews they had to do. Overall it was the BEST AND MOST AMAZING NIGHT OF MY LIFE.

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Annie
We were waiting apprehensively outside the Odeon cinema for the London premiere of Pirates. Cars came and went and after what seemed like ages, a car with blacked-out windows stopped directly in front of us, the doors opened, but nothing happened. There were whispers of 'it's Orlando!' but it was ages before we saw anyone. A lady appeared, followed by an elderly lady and then followed by - GASP - Orlando! A chorus of hundreds of screeching fans greeted him. He came over and signed a few autographs, and spent a good twenty minutes or so running around manically trying to please everyone. He was tanned and gorgeously handsome, breathtakingly so up close. The two ladies with him were his mother and grandmother.

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Fran
Oh my god! Monday 14th July 2003 had to be the best day of my life!! It was about a week before when my friend Emily said we should go to the POTC premiere! I didn't really think anything of it until the day before and could have never dreamt of what happened. Anyway me, my 5 best mates and bro went up to London straight from school all prepared with camera and banner in hand. I was wearing a tshirt with an old studio photo of orlando on it and my combats with orlando written on the bum. When we got off the tube me n one of my mates ran to our spot (much to the annoyance of the others!) We found a spot in the second row where all the mercedes park. I think we kinda peed people off with our 'infernal' whistling and shouting! I was so excited but slightly doubting that orli would turn up! The night kicked off with the arrival of the Fast Food Rockers (yay)! We got their autographs aswell as Triple 8's and d-side's (a-star celebs or what!) Shortly after Keira arrived and even though we chanted and chanted she didn't come over which we all thought was rude! Gore, Jerry and Mckenzie all turned up in between who i didnt recognise apart from jerry because the girl in front said it was him so I got a wave. It was a couple of minutes later that I heard someone say Orli. I turned to the girls in front (again) and they said that Orlando was coming up the drive! At that moment I burst into tears (yes people I am that sad and obsessed)! His merc was almost in front of us and when this other bloke popped out the tears settled a bit but then I saw Orli about to get out! From that second on I was completely hysterical. We tried to lift our banner up which didn't really work that well. I saw him walking away so I kept on screaming his name even though it was alllcroaky and I sounded like I'd just seen someone brutally murdered! I was now on top of all my friends (don't ask me how!) and screaming so much while I continued to cry really hard! As I saw him edge towards us I got to the barrier and waited till his gorgeous head popped round. Suddenly he appeared! I can't explain the feeling that came over me but I swear I could've died! As soon as he saw my face he said this really cute "aawwww" with this really sympathetic (and totally fit) face. Between that he managed this little "you alright?" which was amazing because if I was him I would have ran screaming! I couldn't say a word but just shoved my pen and paper to him. He lent it on my hand which he marked with his big fat pen (Istill haven't washed it off!!!) and signed an autograph. Then he put his arm round me and gave me a kiss! I couldn't believe it I had been staring at posters of him for donkeys years and there he was. He slowly walked off towards some other fans and I just turned round and started screaming, crying and whatever else managed to come from my mouth! I didn't stop crying for about 10 minutes afterwards when I suddenly realised he hadn't given the autograph back! I was so excited that I got my friends to stay till the end and while he was running in and out I kept on screaming his name. During the 2 hours that we waited for him to leave me and my mates talked to a load of people and got autographs of the bouncers Lee, Jock (yes Tasha, Jock) who I also said looked like Billy Boyd and a police woman called Harry. We decided to wait till 10.30 seeing as I had already got grounded. The clock striked 10.30 so we got down our banner and said goodbye to the fit Italian who we met. Suddenly we heard screams and ran back. Orli had rolled down his window and was waving. As soon as he saw me he gave a really big smile and waved frantically. I was sooo so so pleased that he had remembered me and couldn't stop smiling all night. When we got on the train this guy from Hotdog magazine gave us his screening leaflet thing (after noticing our big boards) so I was totally in love with everyone especially Orlando. When I got back home I couldn't look at my posters of him cos it was too weird. I couldn't sleep I was so smitten.
The only thing that I can remember properly was seeing his ring on his finger. It's all a blur now but I'm getting some more piccy's back so my adventure is still not over quite yet.
To all the Orlando fans who are still to meet the gorgeous guy Photos do not do him justice. He is sooo beautiful and the loveliest person I have ever met. I'm sorry about the length of this email but words can't describe this phenomenal person. I hope that all of you reading this get your chance to meet him as he is incredible. I swear I will be obsessed with him for life and never forget that day.

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Lucy
I went to the London Premiere of POTC, just to stand outside mind! I arrived at 12 noon, and managed to grab a space to the right of the entrance to the cinema, right by the barrier, thankfully it was in the shade because it was so hot! Unfortunately I was also next to the truck that was being used to put up the billboard signs above the cinema, so got choked with smoke and fumes everytime it moved! I have to say I was annoyed with the cinema because they were not very organised, and instead of putting the barriers up by getting people to simply move back a bit from where they were, they cleared the whole area, so I lost my space completely because other people managed to push in. I found this unfair as I arrived at 12 and waited 2 hours to lose my place, and then a further 5 to be shoved back even more! It was disappointing, but then I did manage to squeeze in at the side barriers, but there was no chance of me being able to get back to the front of the cinema. I was at the side of the red carpet, even though they didn't actually put out a red carpet! So when the stars, or some that thought they were but really weren't, began arriving the excitement was high, I was prepared with my paper, pen and camera! I was completely squashed against the barrier and because I'm small anyway, really crushed my chest tryng to lean over! I was disappointed with Keira, she just walked past us and only signed what seemed to be a few autographs for people at the beginning and end of the red carpet, so ignored the rest in the middle. But that was just how it seemed to me, it may have been different for others.
When Orlando arrived the crowd went crazy, I couldn't believe that all the people there were for him! It was so cool to see all the other fans and experience the atmosphere! I thought there would be more for the other stars as well, but the screams for him were so loud! Once I spotted him I was off shouting out his name, I was so excited, even though he was right down the other end! He was signing lots of autographs, and I saw at least 3 girls get a kiss, so jealous!! He then moved a bit further down the crowd, but was still on the opposite side and quite far away, but I really couldn't believe I was seeing the real Orlando! He looked so fit and sexy!! He then moved down to the complete other side near the entrance to the cinema, we were shouting trying to get his attention but it didn't work, he said he would come back though. The photographers were snapping away, but he went inside the cinema, we were disappointed thinking he wouldn't be coming back. Then he did come out after loads of chanting "Orli! Orli!" and banging on the barriers and went to the people in front of the cinema, where I originally was. I was gutted! He then went to our side, but ran straight past us AGAIN towards people on my right, I was getting very anxious since he kept missing us out, although I understood that there were so many fans it was difficult for him. He did a cute face as he went past as if he didn't know where to go and did a funny run! So sweet! He then went back to the opposite side again, I was so unlucky that he went to what felt like all the sides around me but not us. He then went in again I think and he did lots of interviews and stuff. Then he came out onto the balcony above the entrance so there was a mad scramble to get in front of the balcony. I was at the back but it didnt matter because I still had a perfect view of him, and I was waving as he looked down at us all. I'm pretty sure I got eye contact as he scanned across the whole crowd, it was so cool! He tried to use the microphone to say thank you but it wasn't working properly, so he pulled a funny face. Then just as they got it working he had to go back in, but waved as he left. When he went in and I knew he wasn't likely to come out again. I was so disappointed I couldn't get an autograph as I'd been waiting for 8 hours in the heat, but I took some pictures, and although they aren't great, I have some form of souvenir. I nicked a huge poster that was tied to the barrier and was given a tattoo with the skull and crossbones logo. So I didn't get my autograph, but I was so excited that I got to see Orlando Bloom in the flesh, and he looked gorgeous, so it was worth it, and there is always next time to try again...

I traveled to London just to see Orli, which shows how obsessed I am with him, lol. Of course, my girlfriend and I were anxiously waiting and hot and tired and sick of listening to the woman on the balcony babble on...
Anyway, finally Orli came out, and we all started screaming. There was an older woman near us who must have been in her 40s who just went nuts crying, "Orlando!Orlando!" I saw him first and jabbed my friend Nicky, who'd come with me, in the shoulder. I yelled, "Orlando! Yo, Orli! Over here!" Of course, then I was completely embarrassed at myself, but he did come over!
Looking at us, he smiled(such perfect teeth)and said in that hot Brit accent of his, "How are you all doing?" I though I was going to faint. But then I said, "Great. But I was wondering, could you sign this?" It was a promo pic of Legolas on Arod for The Two Towers. Once again, he flashed that awesome smile of his and said, "Sure." As he took the pen, his fingers brushed mine and I think I yelped a little because he laughed. Then Nicky was poking me saying, "Ask him for a hug! Ask him for a hug!" So I did, and the next thing I know, these two(very strong and buff)arms were around me. Needless to say, I squeezed back pretty hard, which made him laugh all over again. Then he leaned over the railing and gave me a great big smacker right on my left cheek! I was awestruck. I think all I got out was, "Wow!" Then he did the same for Nicky, and she screamed. Orlando laughed again, and then she asked him if she could get a pic with him. So he stood next to her with his arm around her shoulders, and then I took the picture with him. I'll never forget the feeling of that arm around me, that hug, and that kiss. Never, for as long as I live!
The entire plane ride home the next week (I decided to visit my aunt, since she lives in Canterbury), I dreamed about those moments. I have the picture of me and him framed and on my desk with my phone, laptop and printer. Whenever anyone asks who "that guy" is, I just smile, wink and say it's a fan of mine!!!

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Stacey
Me and my friend were lucky enough to win tickets to watch the POTC premiere and meet Orlando bloom!
We arrived at the ticket office, collected our tickets, and we rushed back in as we realised we didnt know how to get in!! we asked "How do we get in?" the lady said "the carpet!" and we both screamed and in sheer shock (I don't know how we got there) we arrived at the entrance of the carpet and waited for Orlando to arrive, as we saw the car come in I suddenly threw my ticket at the guard (I dunno why. I had that feelin! luckily I was right!) we SLOWLY walked down the carpet as Orlando got out of the car, and waited in the lobby, and as he came in for the first time he came up and spoke to us about the competition and when I told him my answer to the comp question he laughed, then this (pregnant) woman dragged him towards the press, and he mouthed apolegetically "I'll come back!" and we waited for 5 mins then he quickly towards us signed autographs and gave me a HUG!!! He said goodbye and laughed as a huge roar of people started to shout "Orlando, Orlando!" then he said he hoped we enjoyed the film and disappeared!

Yesterday i was privileged enough to be able to go to the premiere of POTC because my best friend, Rachel is the daughter of Kevin Mcnally (Gibbs in the film) anyway, i had a great time there. I met Keira Knightly, Rachel had spent a couple weeks with her in L.A. and gone to Disneyland with her so they were good friends already. The film was, of course, absolutely breathtaking!!!! Then we went to the party, I don't know what you thought of it if you went, but I didn't think the house was a very good place to have it, it was sooooo cramped!!!! Anyway, Rachel and I were just hanging around and we walked into the Cigar Salon (or somthin' like that) and I spotted Orlando straight away.

I was so nervous at first but then we walked up to him and he said hi to Rachel and KISSED HER ON THE CHEEK!!!! They've met twice before!!! Then he said hi to me and shook my hand. I thought OMG I have to ask him for a hug!! so I said, Orlando, can i ask you something? and he said, yeah sure! so I said, can I give you a hug? and he said, of course! and so he reached down and gave me the most wonderful hug I have ever had in my whole, entire life!!! He smelt soo nice and felt so warm and I could feel all the firm, toned muscles in his stomach moving slightly it was just awsome!! After that I was soo happy I couldn't stop smiling at all!! Oh well, very boring to read, I know, but I am so over the moon etc!!! Also, at the party before and afterwards I managed to have conversations with: Keira's mom, boyfriend, boyfriend's sister and brother. And with Orlando's mom (I told her she had the most excellent son in the world, and she agreed), grandma, cousin, aunt and best friend!

I also met Mackenzie, Angus Barnett, Jack Davenport, Duncan from the English boy band Blue and Annie Hathaway (she's in the princess diaries and Nicholas Nickelby) she is so nice and friendly it's unbelievable.

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Tasha, from UK
I checked that my neighbour couldn’t get me a ticket and left my house at about 10am for the train station. It was about an hour journey and my first time on my own on the train (didn’t get lost YAY). When I got to Leicester Square I couldn’t see anyone outside the Odeon so I walked about for a while (got The Face and Another Total Film). When I came back from wandering the shops I walked past a small group of people, one of them, I noticed had a ‘Wee Scarvie’ pinned to her top. I stopped, pulled out my wallet and showed her my wee scarvie and she screamed gave me a hug and started laughing. These were the people I stayed with the whole day, more members of the group came including Smaug who I had planned to meet there from F4F. It was a very hot day and we waited around for a long time in the sun. Two of the women (one of them with a wee scarvie) had had an artist commissioned to do 2 paintings for them (one of Legolas and one of Will Turner) and they had brought the only copies with to give to Orli as a gift (the drawings were sooo gorgeous and pretty expensive too) so that was one mission to get these to Orli.

Later on in the day after A LOT of pushing, shoving and shouting We were finally let behind the barriers which had just been set up (and very unfairly too, it didn’t matter how long you had been there it was just a race to get to the front and im surprised that nobody got hurt!). I didn’t get to the front and I had lost most of the group but Smaug came over and said she was at the front so I went over with her and somehow managed to squeeze my way into the front. I was next to the ‘Orli, you float my boat’ banner which you can see in some pictures(I was just to the left of it). After a bit of waiting, Screaming for the man in the hotdog suit (the jolly hotdog, dressed in pirates gear aswell as being in a hotdog suit), screaming for the numerous camera crews the people started arriving. T4 (a show on channel 4) was doing all interviews with every celeb and we were right near there(infront of the Odeon entrance) so all of them had to walk past us. We were getting (well I was anyway) a bit worried that Orli wouldn’t come over to any of us cos we were near the end and none of the celebs were really paying much notice of us. Then we heard that Gore and Jerry had arrived but they would all be a long way away from us for a while. It was then announced that Keira had arrived and that we ‘might not recognize her because she has such dark hair’ (yea right, we are Uber fans, course we’ll recognize her!). Well anyway, there were so many people going into the cinema that it was hard to look out for the stars. Oh I forgot to mention Mackenzie Crook turned up before them (wearing a pirate bandana but not really signing autographs). I was looking around and then noticed that the T4 crew were interviewing Gore, then I looked some more and noticed the Jerry was standing right infront of us! So I called him over and quite a few people where I was got autographs (i'm not sure if I was the only one that knew what Gore and Jerry looked like or it was just nobody else, and that was quite a lot of people noticed them). Keira came past us and was interviewed by T4, we called her and called her but she seemed a bit more interested in the press people than us and didn’t come over or sign anything for anyone (well, near my area at least). When she was finishing with the press the whole place suddenly erupted with screaming down the other end of the street and then the woman announcing the arrivals on the balcony said that Orli must be here (after constantly teasing us about him)(Lauren just told me that his mum and grandma were there, she went into the premier and saw them but I didn’t) It took a long time for Orli to get closer to us as he was signing autographs as quick as he could for as many people as he didn’t want people to go without. Then we see him walking near us (constant OMGs from me) He was wearing a blackish coat done up which I thought was gorgeous, the trousers with the white stripe down the side and nike trainers (with no socks we noticed) he stopped signing autographs and quickly walked past lots of people to get to the T4 team which he had been told to do and did a really really quick interview with them, we thought he was gona go in to the cinema after this like the others but to our surprise (and a very good one at that) he started signing autographs from the bottom of the line with lightening speed but still looking up and greeting people asking how they were. Then he got to the person next to me (a member of our little group) and it just popped out my mouth ‘Orli, can I have a Hug?’, he looked up at me smiled then gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek (when he did this all the previous girls screamed HE Heeee, sorry, evil lol) and signed my poster. We then had to make sure the two women gave him the drawings. They passed them over to him and he was going to sign them but we were all shouting to him, ‘They are for you!’ He was saying to the woman, ‘No, I can’t take this, I cant accept it, it’s so good, I’ll sign them and give them back.’ After a while he was finally convinced to accept them and leaned over the barrier to talk to the woman and kiss her on the cheek. I was screaming and laughing that ‘Orli Just kissed me on the cheek and hugged me’ and shouting it to Jock (or Pippin as we nicknamed him, He was the security guard that we had been havin a joke with for a few hours). Orli went over to do some photos (after signing quite a few more autographs) for the press with Kiera and then gave her a kiss and they hugged and went inside where we could see them doing more photos. Loads of people were still screaming for him that hadn’t seen him yet so again to my surprise he ran back out to them and started signing more stuff! He was running from one side to another in order to get as many done as possible (it was sooo sweet of him as the others didn’t and he didn’t have to) but the woman that was on the balcony (sorry I cant remember her name, It might have been Jenny Bond but I know her face, she's a presenter) but she was saying that she hadn’t seen this much demand for someone in a very long time and that this was the longest she thought anyone had ever stayed out signing thing for. She also said that Orli and Keira are meant to be one of the hottest onscreen couples ever. So after a while of signing things (Keira still didn’t) he went in and the whole cast and crew that were there went up to the balcony and everyone was screaming and he was smiling and waving and winking, laughing and pointing. He then did a thumbs up to all the people behind the press that couldn’t get anywhere near the carpet or the stars and blew them a kiss and with that, they all went inside and everyone took the big cardboard posters from the barriers (with the help of the police lol) I didn’t get one. I was perfectly content with what I had( Hug, kiss and autograph). I said goodbye to Smaug and went home with only one regret, that I didn’t manage to get a pic of me and orli. I got home at about 9 – 9:30pm tired, hungry, dehydrated and aching but it was definitely worth it. I even got my neighbors booklet which was given out to the guests this morning. I have now even more respect to Orli than before, he looks even better in person than I could of ever imagined. I hope he never changes in his attitude towards anything, he was basically a perfect gentleman and a perfect guy and I am so impressed with the way he treats his fans.

Me touching Orli.

Must have just got my hug lol!

Here are a few pictures of the booklet that my neighbour gave me:

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Jo, from UK
Well I was also one of those people (or should I rather say girls) down in London....

After having spent some nervous hours at work, isn't it nice that when you really and I mean really want the afternoon off your manager just doesn't want to let you go?! So there I was staring at my computer screen for most of the afternoon, unable to do any work, mumbled just a few words to my colleagues all day, (They think my Orlando obsession is getting out of hand and I so do not agree!!) drinking loads of coffee to steady my nerves while waiting for the clock to strike 4.30 pm. I don't think I have ever made my way down to the train station that fast!

Somehow I managed to get to Leicester Square at 5pm, which was just in the nick of time because afterwards more and more people started to show up. After a quick view of the crowd I decided on my spot, just behind a 4.9ft girl which meant that I (being 5.6ft) would be able to see EVERYTHING. I was dead chuffed with myself! Though at the age of 27 I did feel very, very old I have to say but I guess that once you're smitten with Orlando Bloom there is no way back!

Like Jenn I wasn't too impressed with Keira Knightly either although she did sign some autographs for the girls who were in front of me and I managed to take some photos of her, though now I ask myself, why did I bother?!

Orlando on the other hand impressed me in every single way. I was at the end of the barricades where the cars arrived and Mr Bloom arrived with his gran and mum (everyone say aaaaaaaaw). I did manage to talk to him, even though it was briefly but he's just as kind as I thought he would be. I complimented him on his tan and he said thank you with the biggest smile, while his big brown eyes looked at mine. Was I ready to die right there and then? I was indeed! He also commented he couldn't believe how many people had turned up in this heat! He was kind enough to sign a movie still of LOTR I had taken with me and off he went.

Two days later and I'm still in a daze...haha!

POTC Premiere in London July 14, 2003 by Jenn, from UK
I went to the London premiere for Pirates of the Caribbean, and while it was boiling hot all day, and we had nothing to do but stand around and wait, Orlando showing up sure made up for everything! I wont go into the whole story, coz I'd be here for an hour, but basically fast forward to about five o'clock in the afternoon, and we were all standing there behind the barricades, squashed between bodies (the weather did NOT help this at all) and had nothing to do for another hour and forty five minutes. We were told that they would start arriving at quarter to seven, and me and some other girls were saying that Orlando would probably be the last one to show up (don't ask). Anyway, like they said, people DID start showing up at quarter to seven, but no-one really interesting. I even saw the Fast Food Rockers there at one point, and I was like "What the...???"

Anyway, there was a lady standing on the balcony, announcing who was arriving, but we weren't really paying attention coz she started to get REALLY annoying after awhile. She kept talking about film, and how Orlando and Keira are the hottest on-screen couple (yadda yadda yadda), and we got really annoyed and yelled at her to shut up (she didn't hear us though... lol). Anyway, Keira Knightley was the first one out of the film to show up, but she hardly spent any time with the fans - she signed about ten or so autographs down the end near the entrance, did an interview for a few minutes, and then walked straight inside! Everyone was shouting at her to go over to them, but she didn't even wave at them. Everyone was saying that she was really rude. Anyway, then that guy from The Office showed up (can't remember his name... is it Cook or something?), but he didn't come near us. Funny that, coz we were right in front of the door. Anyway, after about half an hour or so, a HUGE scream went up near the entrance, and then the girls started pounding on the gates like they were at a football match. We were positive that it was him, even though we couldn't see him.

Then the lady said "Orlando's a bit caught up at the back - apparently that's where his biggest fans are," and we were like "Yeah right!" And then I got my video camera out and zoomed in towards the back so I could see better. I saw him with his back to us, signing autographs. I shouted out "I can see him!!" and all the girls around me were saying "Where? I can't se him!" And then he came closer, and we all screamed. He spent ages down that end because he was signing for EVERYONE, which we thought was so sweet. Then this bald dude was pulling him along, and he walked REALLY quickly down to our end, past us, and into the cinema. We all thought that that was it, we wouldn't get an autograph, but about ten minutes later, after a lot of yelling out his name, he came back out! He walked to the girls about ten people to the left of us, and signed loads of stuff there, and he was edging towards us. I was filming him, and photographing him all at the same time, and then he went back inside again. I saw him do an interview with someone, and then he came back out again! This time, he came STRAIGHT towards us! He said something like "All right, mind the hair!" in a jokey way to the girl next to me, and we laughed. A couple of girls down from us were shouting out that they wanted to have his babies, which I am kind of glad he didn't hear... have a feeling it would have freaked him out, seeing as they were about 12! I didn't get a chance to say anything to him because I was both stunned into silence and I was trying to balance the video camera and get pictures at the same time. My friend who was behind me shoved a book between me and this other girl, and he signed that. I told her to get the autographs because no way could I juggle three things at once! Two is bad enough!

Anyway, then after he did a few more near our group, he went back inside and did another interview. I had my video camera on him again, and I zoomed right in. I swear to God that at one point for like a ten second period, he looks straight at my camera! And he was licking his lips aswell, which just adds to my ball of fun. Then he went upstairs, and after about ten more minutes, he was on the balcony with Keira and some other guy. I had my video camera on the both of them, and this time I know for a fact that they looked straight at my camera - and then they waved! I waved back of course, but that was probably a bad idea, coz then I lost the spot where I was filming on my camera coz of the shaking. Anyway, then they went back inside, and we were told that that was it. They had gone in to see the film. We were contemplating whether or not to hang around until the end of the film, and then deciding we had nothing better to do, we stayed. It was better by then because it was less hot, and there were less people squashing us. Somehow we managed to pass two and a half hours very quickly, and then before we knew it, it was 10:30. A long line of chauffer driven cars (all identical silver Mercedes Benz!) pulled up onto the walk way, waiting for them to come out. A few girls walked out when it had finished, and then suddenly I saw Orlando come down the stairs, and then he sort of ran back up them again for a second. I was a little shocked because he was one of the first ones to walk out. He stepped outside, and a huge roar of "Orlando! We love youuuu....!" went up, and he kind of had this look on his face that said "What the f***???" I guess he couldn't believe that everyone had waited around for him to come back out.

Anyway, he walked towards a car (which turned out to be the one parked right in front of us) and a girl near me shouted out that she wanted a hug. He smiled and was about to walk over when his driver said that had to go. He looked kind of disappointed and said to us "I'm really sorry, I've gotta go," and then he was packed into the car (not literally). He wound the back window down and started waving at us as the car pulled away, and then that's when my new friend had the idea of chasing his car down the road! We tried it, but they had sped off really quickly! It was funny at the time, but it's not now.

Anyway, that's the end of it. I am kind of kicking myself that I didn't ask him something or declare my undying love to him, but I am SOOO pleased that I have finally seen him in the flesh (and oh God... photographs do not compare to the real thing!), got his autograph, got pictures, and have him on video-tape! Now for the next premiere...

Love Jenn, age 18 from Watford.

POTC Premiere at Disneyland June 28, 2003 by K.C.
I found out from a very lovely woman (her husband was one of the art guys) exactly where they were after the premiere... Club 33.

'Mum? What was Orlando wearing?'
'All black.'
'That's what I thought.'

Shoulder-length dark brown hair, black slacks, black shirt, black jacket, smiling, happy face.
It's Orlando.
With Mum egging me on, I walk up to him.
'Excuse me?'
'Hi!'
(He seemed slightly surprised, as one minute no one was infront of him, then the next, I'm there)
'Hi. Could I have your autograph?'
'Sure!'
*walks forward with my book and pen, towards Mum. Asks guard* Which way?'
*Mum snaps picture* (I think that she temporaily blinded Orlando.)
'Let's do it on the run though, ok?'
'No problem.'

*signs book* 'There you go.'
'Thank you so much!'
*while smiling brightly at me. wink* 'Your welcome, Love.'
He has this whole contingent of people follwing him, girls are all like 'Mr Bloom! Mr. Bloom!' I don't think he stopped for anyone. He had to leave pronto. HE CALLED ME LOVE!!!!!

And about Johnny:

We see this young woman by the balcony. I asked her how Johnny was signing something for her.
'I don't know. I didn't give him anything.'
'I'd throw him my book.'
'I have one, too. I'd do the same, but he must have paper.'

He made a v.small paper airplane and dropped it to her. Enter me.
'You wouldn't have another sheet of paper would you?'
'No. I'm so sorry.'
'Would it help if I threw my book up there?'
'....If you can get it up here, I'll sign it.'

I grab a chair, standing on it (in heels), throw the book.
Missed one.
Mum tries.
Missed two.
A random guy tries.
Missed three
I try again.
Missed four.
Now this whole time, Johnny's trying to cathc the book, and it's just barely out of his reach. This really tall guy grabs the chair, and is about to stand on it. 'Oh, I'll just hand it up to him, if you want me to try.' By now, there's a crowd of people rooting for us to it it up there. Enter Disneyland official.
'Official: You guys can't be doing that.'
Guy 1: 'He said that if she got it up there, he'd sign it.'
Tall Guy: 'I'll get it up there if you just give me a chance.'
Official: 'No, I'm sorry.'
Mum: 'He said that he'd sign it. Just give us a minute, and we'll leave.'
Me: 'Please! I've worked on this book all week!! *flips through book to Official for effect*
Johnny: 'I did say I'd sign it if she got it up here.'
Guy 1: 'Hold on. Give me one more try.' *throws book like a frisbee*
Book: *clears balcony bar*
Me: 'YES!!!! Thank you!'
Guy talking to Johnny: *Retrieves book*
So, he signs it. The book has by now fallen apart. When he finishes, he checks to make sure that it won't hit me. Drops book. I miss, but it's ok.
Mum: 'Thank you!'
Me: 'Thank you SO much!'
Johnny: 'No problem. Good bye.'
Us: 'Good bye.'
Johnny: *Blows us a kiss.waves*
Us: 'Wave in return*

POTC Premiere at Disneyland June 28, 2003 by Denise Banh, USA
I flew all the way, actually its not that far, from Oregon to Anahiem to go to the premiere on June 28, 2003! I sat along the red carpet for 2 hours, not that long but I luckily got an awesome spot. I didn't think Orlando was going to be there but I went anyways because my family had already booked the tickets and everything and I thought I would at least be able to see Johnny Depp and other celebrities. But I found out from these girls next to me that he had already been spotted at the Disneyland hotel and then I really started to freak out! The celebrites started to walk down the red carpet. After about an hour or so of people, a guy next to me told his daughters that he saw Orlando signing autographs about 10 feet away from us! And not being as tall as the people around me I couldn't see him! I tried to look over peoples heads and even almost fell over and almost knocked the person in front of me over the guard thing. lol I don't think she cared, I think she was too busy looking at Orlando. Then he went over to the other side to do some interviews. I started snapping photos because I didn't think he would come back but then I told the people around me, who all seemed they were Orlando fans too, that we should start to chant his name like the other people did. It did work and he came over and started to sign autograph after autograph after autograph but when I was next, this lady told him to move on! Then I really started to really scream out his name to come back. Unfortunlately that didn't work. :-( But I did manage four awesome up close pictures of him. And OMG does he look better in person that it shows in pictures. I was so happy after seeing him I couldn't stop jumping around for the rest of the night.

POTC Premiere at Disneyland June 28, 2003 by Sarah, USA
Around 9pm, Orlando finally came off the red carpet. He was stopped, talking to someone he knew, and I heard him say "That has got to be the longest red carpet ever!" in a sort of exhausted voice, but smiling nonetheless. I was about 20 feet away from him, and was a bit in shock at actually seeing him, so I was just standing there. Then he started walking, and walked by us pretty fast. I frantically dug out my pen and paper, and my camera, and grabbed my pirate loot and jacket, and went after him! I tried to take a few pics from behind, because he was walking really fast, being led by his assistant, and I wasn't sure if I'd actually get to see him again.

A few people asked him for his autograph while he was walking, so I went up to him and asked him for one. He said "Sure", and stopped and signed my little pad of paper. I said "Thank youuuuu" and was looking down at the paper and pen he was giving back to me, when he said "You're welcome" in this really sweet voice. I looked up and he was looking right at me and had the biggest smile on his face. This was really the first time I had gotten a good look at him up close, and I was bit taken a back. Photos do not do him justice, he is beautiful in person! I just smiled back at him, and he continued walking, leaving me standing there a bit shell shocked!

I quickly got over my initial shock, and we continued walking. The Tom Sawyer raft dock was just a little up the walk way, and Orlando had stopped there, along with a bunch of other people. Disney Studio's Chairman Dick Cook was waiting there, and Orlando gave him a big hug, and seemed really happy to see him. I wasn't standing too close to them, because I didn't want to intrude, but I did take a few pics, as Orlando was finally standing still!

When they were done talking, Orlando started walking to the raft dock, so I went up to him and said "Orlando, can we get our photo taken with you?" He said sure. His assistant was trying to get him to come with her, but he told her to 'hold on a second'. Then he put his arm around us, and I put mine around his waist. That's when I realized how good he smelled! I had always heard that, and it's completely true! His cologne was musky, but also sweet smelling. So we got our pic taken, said thanks, and he went off to the raft dock. I think I was in shock, once again, at actually being that close to him. People might say, he's just a guy, but he's also the most wonderful guy you could imagine! Maybe one day I will look back at all this and laugh at myself for carrying on so much about an actor named Orlando Bloom. But for now, I'm perfectly content to do so. :)

POTC Premiere at Disneyland June 28, 2003 by Allie Hazard, USA
I got to go to Disneyland for the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere, but I just got to watch the red carpet. My mom and I sat outside on the red carpet for 7 hours, just to see the all the actors. I wasn't even sure if Orlando was going to be there. I had heard that he wasn't. The celebrities had started to walk down the red carpet and I met Keira Knightley who is very nice. I also got to see Johnny Depp. Then I saw Orlando Bloom he came around the corner and the place went wild!!! He finally made it to the area where I was and he had just taken my pen, when another celebrity came up and gave him a hug, so Orlando still had my pen, while giving this person a hug. Then he came directly back to me and signed my magazine, then he took my left arm and just held it in his hand and looked at me directly in the eyes. I said "thank you so much" then he smiled and walked away!!! There was so much commotion that I didn't have a chance to get me and hi! m in a picture. Though I did get a ton of pictures of him. Just none of me and him. He is very nice, I was very impressed by him. I'm so happy that I met him!!!!

Malta Airport May 25, 2003 by Susie Barrett, UK
I was on tour with my school choir in Malta on the 25th May and we got off the plane at 5 in the morning and I suddenly saw Orlando Bloom walking down the stairs where we were collecting our luggage. I was the first one to recognise him and I nearly fainted! He disappeared round the corner. Soon everybody knew but no one believed me because I was the only one who had seen him but when we walked round the corner he was standing there looking absolutely gorgeous. I was sooo excited I couldn't actually find my camera! I was like OH MY GOD IT'S ORLI IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING TO ME!!!!! I had found out (through the Orlando Bloom Files) a couple of months before, that he might be in Malta when we were, and I told all my mates but no one actually believed me. When I got back to school I was like IN YOUR FACES LOSERS!!! STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT!!! Everyone is soooo jealous! The teachers were saying that he looks petrified of us but he was really lapping up all the attention! Me and my friend Kelly were standing directly in front of him and he smiled at us!!!! He was with his driver and he said that as it was 5 in the morning and Orli was really tired we couldn't go up to him. He was waiting for his girlriend (who was on our flight and I actually spoke to her without realizing who she was!) but he took my friends number and they sent a signed photo to our hotel. We invited him to our choir concert but as it was his last night in Malta, he was too busy to come, though he said he would try!
Every time we see a poster of him now, we make a big scene and the other day, we went to the cinema and saw a trailer for POTC and we just went mad!!! Ss you can imagine, I didn't get any sleep that night-I could hardly believe ///i had actually seen Orli!

Malta Airport May 25, 2003 by Kelly Brotherton, UK
I was with my school choir going on tour in Malta. Me and my friends had heard that Orlando was going to be there filming Troy. We had planned to do a bit of Orli hunting, but decided the chances of us seeing him would be slim to none. All of our friends who weren’t going said we wouldn’t see him. When our plane landed in the Maltese airport at around 4 in the morning, we got our bags and walked through the terminal. As we rounded the corner my friend further on saw Orlando Bloom! I wandered over, not realising what all the comotion was about, then I walked a few spaces further on from them, and was standing directly in front of Orlando!! I froze, turned around to look at my mates, and said 'oh my god, it's orlando bloom!!' I stood there for about a minute, and he looked at me, then my friends started to come over to me, and me while I was looking at him, he made eye contact with me for about 20-30 seconds, and he smiled at me! I was soo happy!! (oh and he was there waiting for his girlfriend, who incidently was on our plane!) Then unfortunately our teachers dragged us away, and as you can imagine we didnt sleep at all!! Not until the next night infact! lol
Thats my meeting Orlando Bloom!
from Kelly Brotherton, aged 15, from Gosport, south of England!
oh yeh, and we invited him to our concert (as a friend of mine, got the drivers number to phone up about a autograph) but unfortunatly he was busy working, and getting ready to go home the next day.

Premiere of The Two Towers in LA December 15, 2002 by Samantha
I met Orlando last year at the LA Two Towers Premiere. I saw him at the after party. I went up to him and said I was a fan. He got really excited and was like "A FAN!!!" I'm really short so he bent down to my level, with his face right in front of mine! OMG. He is so beautiful. Then he pulled me in to take a picture and it was amazing. At first the camera wasn't flashing so he was gonna go over and help but then it worked. He's so considerate! I told him he was very talented and he thanked me.

That was the first time I met him. I also met him just a few days ago at the Hollywood Film Festival Awards...you can read my encounter about that under Hollywood Film Festival.

At So Graham Norton February 27, 2002 by Sara, UK
This is quite a late report but I wasn't quite sure who he was at the time (and boy am I kicking myself now!)
My mate Kevin managed to get 4 tickets for So Graham Norton and he took me and our friends Gillian and Frankie. We had no idea what celebrities would be on but were looking forward to seeing the show. When we got inside we hadf ront row seats! Excellent we though! Then Cilla Black came on as the first guest (boring uk tv presenter) and the Cybil (we weren't quite sure who she was) and then finally Orlando Bloom! Me and Gillian had heard his name a few times but never seen any of his films but we were thinking he was rather cute! A lot of the interview was cut out from the version that was aired but due to it now being nearly a year ago i can't really remember. Cybil played with his doll A LOT more and i think she was sitting on his knee during the breaks. Some people asked the crew to get his autograph but the crew said no. That was also the last So Graham Norton so the crew and graham were playing around a lot and having a party. They took a huge crew photo with all the crew, graham and the guests stood infront of the audience as a momento so we got even closer to Orando! yum!
Anyway, now it's a year on and I got the FOTR dvd for christmas and saw TTT at the cinema and i'm Orlando obsessed!! It's rather odd to think he was sat 10metres away from me a year ago and if that happened today i think i'd die!
lol!

In Melbourne 2002 by Lady4Legolas
I was in Melbourne visiting some of my family out there, and was doing a spot of shopping, when I saw Orlando Bloom walking towards me. I couldn't believe it! He looked absolutely gorgeous. I stopped him and we got chatting. He asked me how I was and said that he was taking a break from filming Ned Kelly. I said that I am his biggest fan and thought he was great in FOTR. He gave me this really cute little smile and said thank you. I could have died, he was so cute! I carry this piccie of Legolas around with me everywhere, and he signed it for me. He asked me where I was from, because he recognized my English accent. I told him I was from Essex, but most of my family lived in Kent. He said that he comes from Kent, and I replied that I know, every magazine and web-site says so. He looked surprised and said, that he wishes he could visit his home town of Canterbury more often. Before he went, he said that it was nice to meet me, and kissed me on both cheeks. That was definately the best day of my life, and the most memorable holiday ever. This is the picture that Orli autographed for me!

BAFTAs February 24, 2002 by Ehli
The time i met orlando bloom
o.k it was sunday morning, and i had my friends Jay and grace over to stay the night before. we had been reading this interview with elijah wood and billy and dom the night before and they had said they where all going to the baftas. so in the morning i was begging my mum to take us all to london ( i live in devon...its a rather expensive 4 hour journey) to see the baftas. in the end she said we could, so we drove all the way to Exeter, got on the train...with our huge cut out red heart ( looking really stupid carrying this thing round). got to london leister square, and found the place already jam packed ( it was already about 5 oclock) and to our dismay all the cast of LOTR had already gone in. to make it worse it was cold and raining and we had no coats or umbrellas. Luckily for us, we had great deal of determination, and waited for 4 hours in the rain. when everybody had gone in loads of the crowd dissapeared, and we wormed our way through barriers ( thanks to experience in many rock concerts) and people, until we where directly a few feet away from the entrance. we got prime barrier space and settled down to wait for another hour. ( by this time we had chucked our red heart as the paint was beging to drip of it and it was soggy) We kept the sucurity guards well amused ( not to mention the rather dashing bell boys, whom i'm sure rather liked me and my mateys). it was such ashame about the people behind us, one guy, kept pestering us so much, had to turn round and tell him to F**k off. dman those londoners, kept going on about how nice nicole kidman was and zoe from pop idol ( we put him straight that Orlando was not to be compared to Zoe from pop idol! as Orlando IS the fittest person in the world!)

And then suddenly everbody starts coming out. We saw billy boyd and Dom and started shouting o them, they waved first but we kept calling and they came over. we got kisses of them ( my mum was well chuffed) asked if they were going to Glastonbury festival. they assured us they were ( lying toerags). asked them if theyd like to come surfing down in cornwall some time. they casually said sure i'll see u down there. and then after some light chit chat we aid are good byes.

now what happened next was a bit of a blur ( partly because nicole Kidmans boobs were in my face * i'll get that later*), we seemed to be swamped by masses of celebrities, ( whom i'm sure are lovely, but i didn't give a giff about) Kate winslet seemed to spend ages with us, i politely told her how she was great actress ( not really a fan of hers)and how i loved her song, that one from a christmas carol, ( which i hate!). she seemed a bit dissapointed that we didn't have anything for her to sign, but what can i say, i was reserving myself for Orli!

Nicole kidman was next, she came up to us, i said she was great and then she leaned over the barrier to sign somebodies notebook ( probably that annoying prannie's behind us). i lost my sight for a good 20 seconds as she unseemly shoved her boobs in my face. ( no doubt some guy would LOVE this, but i didn't, oh and by the way, she is REALLY white close up!) if u don't beleive this my friend had a photo to prove it.

loadsa other big celebs came and went, but i really would be boring u with it. but then.... i saw him.....my man. Orlando, i was so excited and i'm sure my knees where shaking. i started screaming, jay started screaming, grace started screaming, and mum started screaming. i had noticed that this other girl ( Cz) had written a report on the baftas and i don't mean to be rude ( well only slightly), but here account is wrong, there was no mob of screaming girls because everybody was behind a barrier. and orlando did not "deal" with anybody. he was a perfect gentle man and spent time with everybody. ( obviously more time with us than anybody else). He came over ( and u really have to beleive this) he took both my hands and looked into my eyes and said "hi how r u doing out here" ( i was like WOW!!!, and my friend is just clicking away on her camara) i go " all the better for seeing u orli," i swear he spent so long with us, i asked for a kiss and he gave me this huge bear hug and then gave me such a smakker full on the lips. he gave jay one as well, and then started signing autographs while he kept talking, i feel such a fool now cause me and my friends started going on about the film wilde and how we had been watching just to see him in it. we even did are impression " looking for someone?" (LOL) luckily he just laughed to. we asked him to come surfing with us, cause we knew some top secret spots. he said anytime. we asked him about glastonbury and he said he prob wouldn't have the time cause he was going to be shooting Ned kelly. my mum started rambling bout horses to him, ( witch surprisingly he talked loads about.) we told him how great he was in LOTR, and finished up with saying " would you like to hook up later darling?"  (lol, first thing that came to my head, i'd regret it if i didn't ask) and he said laughing, " sure i'm staying at the Grovenor, i'll meet u there later!(couldn't beleive it!, he was only joking * or was he?* lol)  he gave me one more kiss ( sadly on the cheek) and then said goodbye.

well u would think that was it, wouldn't u? well ur mistaken. cause the last train to devon was at 1, oclock in the morning and by this time it was bout 10:30, and so we had time to blow. we pursuaded mum to take us to the Grovenor! hoped on a bus, walked through marble arch ( thinking how oneday i would be livin there with orli, still quite dazed at this point). we got to the Grovenor, and to our surprise there was hardly anybody there, couple of reporters thats all. but to our luck 5 mins after we got there, guess who turns up? PG himself ( we hadn't seen him at the baftas cause he left via the "back door") it was hysterical, he was gettin, mobbed by all the reporters, and then theres my mum screaming at the top of her voice ( and i mean TOP) "Peter thank you so much for making a great film" ( lol). well it calmed down after a while, but then bout half an hour on ( after we had atempted to smuggle ourselfs into the buliding via the icemen deliverers, offering to carry in the ice, * they claimed women were to weak, pah lame excuse boys*). who did we see in the foyay? none other than mr Bloom. we started shoutin and waving and jumping up and down. he saw us and waved and winked (quite the sassy devil) and started blowing us kisses. we started shouting we love u ( much to the amusement of the bouncer * who was by now r mate, just like the guy from the big issue*). Orli laughed blew us some more kisses then returned to his dinner down stairs.
and thus ends our adventure

Ned Kelly Set in Clunes May 28, 2002 by Jess Olive
I just had to do this - TODAY I went to the Ned Kelly set in Clunes and I arrived there at 6:45 am in the morning! I was the only one there but then everyone started to arrive.

Anyway.... I saw Heath and Orli ALL DAY long! - I have taken 8 - 9 rolls of 24 photos - I'm having them done tomorrow.

AND... To top my perfect day off - I met Orli!!!! I was the second girl he hugged [My friend got his first hug] and he also shook our hands and then he gave me his autograph [1 out of 3 girls hehehe Yay!!!] and we were talking for a little until they got ushered off!!! He was sooo cute! He was gorgeous! and he was so bashful hehehe.... We were talking to him and he kept peering down to the ground smirking and grinning hehehehe.... He truly is the most wonderful guy I will ever meet!!!

And throughout the day I was taking photos of him and at some stages - My friend and I were waving at him hehehe - And when he saw us the first time - He just smiled hehehe.... The second time he saw us - He winked!!!!!!!!! and the third time he nodded his head smiling :D - Im almost jumping out of my seat hehehehe.

He kept catching my eye today though! I was 7 feet away from him on the set when I shouldn't have been there! and he kept looking at me side ways as if expecting me to ask him something.. but I didnt - Too scared... But from there on - We kept making eye contact cos I was always taking photos heheheh .. But in the end we met anyway and it was the best night I have ever had and he truly is a gorgeous, sweet, funny and sensitive guy!

I also got 18 minutes of film on him heheheh.... So I'm stoked majorly... I'm dying happily now hehehe.

Hard Word premiere in Melbourne May 19, 2002 by princess_greenleaf_of_mirkwood
I saw Orlando Bloom at the opening of the Hard Word premier in Melbourne. It is an Australian movie starring Guy Pearce, Rachel Griffiths, Joel Edgerton. I heard that Heath Ledger and some of the Ned Kelly gang members may be going to the premier so I came prepared. I was outside hoping that Orlando would turn up. A number of stars went by including Heath Ledger but I was on the look out for Orlando. Then, suddenly he was walking on the red carpet but I was too star-struck to call out his name and everything went by so fast, and he was gone inside. I was so disappointed I did not get to say hello, but I was so determined to see him again, I waited until the premier was over.

People started coming out of the cinema, and my heart started beating so fast I could actually hear it. He was one of the last group of people to come out and then I saw him!, but then my feet could not move, I said to myself ‘Move feet move!, its now or never!’ So I quickly went up to him and said ‘Hi Orlando, can I have your autograph?’ He looked at me and smiled…. Wow that smile! He took the pen and signed my Dolly magazine poster with a heart-shaped sign. He was really nice and a real sweetheart.

Then I saw him about to get into the chauffeur-driven cars, I asked him if he mind taking a photograph with me. And so there you have it, my precious photograph with Orli! I was so happy!. I did not know what to say to him, and blurted something like ‘You were so good in The Lord of the Rings’ and you know what, he smiled his most gorgeous smile and those cheekbones… wow those heaven-sent cheekbones and said ‘Thank You’ in his most charming voice, his incredible, sexy voice… wow…. I will never forget that experience in my whole life and I went home a very happy girl that night.

By the way, I also like to add that I met Orlando again in the Clunes shooting of The Ned Kelly movie. He looks fabulous in that outfit and we gave each other a hug that I will hold close to my heart forever!

LOTR London Premiere After Party December 10, 2001 by Grim
We walked past the enclosed interview room where Jonathon Ross was interviewing the stars (when we arrived it was Orlando now it was Viggo Mortenson) but then all of a sudden Orlando was right in front of us, his Mohawk standing to attention his jacket gone. He is surrounded by people and seems to be buzzing, he is being spoken to from every direction but he is smiling and trying to deal with it as best he can, in a brief moment of peace we approach him and say hi and stuff and get the usual pics done I tell him he was great as Legolas (fanlike moment#3) then he is swept away into the crowd and remains perpetually swept for the rest of the night, not once do I see him sitting or standing, he is constantly gliding around like a cartoon being followed by a group of chattering people, he seems the only one with this affliction!!!

On Location in NZ December 2000 by Quickbeam
Orlando Bloom came by and set next to us. Here at last was Legolas. A smoother fellow you could not ask for. Maybe in years to come the fame will go to his head (God forbid) but I tell you he was the most soft-spoken and likable of them all. Very cool guy. I showed him a new softcover copy of LOTR that had a little gold emblem on the front: 'An epic motion picture trilogy – Coming soon from New Line Cinema.'
'Can you believe their marketing it like that already?' Orlando said.
I answered, 'That’s nothing.... just wait until we get closer to the film’s release. The merchandise will be like Star Wars.... insane.'

Orlando Bloom was there, being carefully fitted with a delicious Elven bow. The make-up folks were also trying to get his blond hairpiece under control. We then wandered outside with two extra chairs and talked about the phenomenon that had developed online and how the movie business was changing. Tolkien fans worldwide had turned the Internet into a hotbed of rumor, textual debate, and busy chat rooms. I explained some of my own contributions to this environment, modest as they are, and made predictions on what was to come. "Big," I said, "only to become further reaching than the studios could guess." Viggo came out and joined our conversation, and Bernard Hill, too, listened with great interest.

Legolas, Aragorn, and Théoden.... I had never had an audience quite like this.

Sydney Premiere December 26, 2001 by Scrow
Before we knew it the actors who were attending the premiere were running down the isle to be introduced as their characters in the movie. Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom and Hugo Weaving were standing at the front of the theater, at which point I decided this was a perfect photo opportunity.

They then walked back up the isle and left us to experience the movie for the first time. While walking up the isle I heard Orlando Bloom whisper, 'I hope you like it!', and I certainly did.

BAFTAs February 24, 2002 by Chev
- I'll try to keep it short and simple!
I had seen Orli already at the Empire Awards, but all that happened was that I saw him, he autographed my notepad and I 'hugged' him, and he ran off into the hotel. This time, I was waiting in Leicester Square for the stars to leave the Odeon where the awards were being held. I managed to grab a perfect place in front of the press boxes (minus the press) and right behind the barrier.

I wasn't really close to the door, but I was in a spot that all the stars HAD to walk in front of. Thankfully everyone around me was middle aged, so they weren't interested in the same people. Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd (I had seen Billy at the Empire Awards already) came out, and while Billy sped off into his car, Dom was lingering around. No one around me knew his name, so when I called out "DOMINIIIIC!!!" he smiled and came over. He took my notepad, autographed it, and chatted a little with me, asking how I was, how I liked the movie, and stuff. He was reaaally nice!

Right after him, Don Cheadle walked by, I got his autograph too, and a whole load of other stars passed by quickly too. I also got Nicole Kidman's autograph.

After awhile I heard this mass of screams, and I looked to my left and who do I see but a gorgeous looking Orlando, being mobbed by screaming girls all huddled together, about 20 meters away from me. After he dealt with them, I called his name but he got a phone call and chatted on the phone for a bit. I kept screaming his name (again, no one around me knew who he was), and he looked around to see where it was coming from and when he saw me he came over, told the person on the phone he had to go, and started talking to me! I gave him my notepad, he autographed it (now I have 2 of his!) and while he did that I said "you were really great in Lord of the Rings" (I was at a loss for words) and he replied "aww, thanks darling!" I was stunned, and I decided to ask him for a hug, and he was like "yea sure!" and he leaned over the railing and gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. He signed a few autographs around me, during which we still kept talking. He said some stuff about Guildhall and I congratulated him on his Empire Award, which he was really pleased about and thanked me again. He looked at me, waved, said bye and walked off to the car.

It was completely surreal! The best part about it was that I wasn't surrounded by any other Orli fanatics, and so when I called him it was me he gave his attention to!

LOTR London Premiere December 10, 2001 by White Lady Of Rohan
Dominic, Billy, Sean Bean and everyone else comes out followed by Orlando. Immediately we all start shouting Orlando at him and he just looks and waves, it all goes quite so I shout at the top of my voice 'ORLI!' and he looks and comes jogging over. How impressed am I? he grabs a pen and signs my board my pen is dying and it comes out rather faint oh well it's still there wow! He signs for others too, I say to him about the Big Breakfast he looks up smiles and says he's sorry. (OMG that smile is hot and I still love his voice) He heads off I moan about having used all my film up before he came out. Doh! The guy standing next to us who seems to be a big autograph collector (says he has over 3000) thanks me for getting Orlando over. I just smile realising that it was because I'd shouted that he'd come over, how happy am I?

Fan Mail Response January, 2002 by Sammi
Well I won't type the whole thing, but this is basically what he said.
I asked him about archery and he explained what everyone else already knows, about getting to NZ early and learning. How he became quite good....
I typed a prayer to him, and asked for the Lord to Bless him and he thanked me for that.
He also made mention of the tons of mail he has received and how young girls send him nude pics, and how he is tempted to have is mum return those. LOL
I wrote him at the UK addie.
(On his handwriting) Like a Dr.'s .... just readable... LOL
