From eonline.com: The secret to celebrity doggy travel is a Southern California company called Pacific Pet Transport. They ship the pets o’ the stars all over the planet. … For example, Bloom is soon headed for Hong Kong to do some filming. He has arranged for Sidi, his dog, to go with him. Nathan Andersen of Pacific Pet Transport says that Bloom regularly ships Sidi to his filming locations, and often on a studio’s dime. PPT will make sure all of Sidi’s shots and medical exams are in order so that the dog can meet Orlando in Asia with minimal delay.
“It’s not too difficult,” Andersen tells this B!tch. “We just need to make sure Sidi is microchipped, has the right health certifications and that we’ve applied for the right import permits.”
The estimated cost for that kind of international, door-to-door service: $4,000. All in a day’s expenses for an A-list boy and his dog.

First Empire Online reported that Ian McKellen would be reprising his role as Gandalf in The Hobbit:
“Yes, it’s true,” he said. “I spoke to Guillermo in the very room that Peter Jackson offered me the part and he confirmed that I would be reprising the role. Obviously, it’s not a part that you turn down, I loved playing Gandalf.”
And now MTV has a quote from the director, Guillermo Del Toro, saying he would like more of the original cast members back:
“I want to be very clear about this. I am not going to recast any actor that is willing and able to work with us,” “recently announced “Hobbit” director Guillermo Del Toro told MTV News. “It would be my hope to bring back the same actors to play the parts. The casting on the trilogy was perfect.”

From this thisisnorthscotland.co.uk: Orlando Bloom has apparently joined the cast of new movie An Education. The Lord Of The Rings star will join Rosamund Pike, Emma Thompson and Peter Sarsgaard in the coming-of-age movie set in 60s London.
The film is based on British journalist Lynn Barber’s memoir and the screenplay has been written by Nick Hornby, author of hit novels High Fidelity and About A Boy, both of which have been made into successful movies.
The story centres around Jenny (played by rising British star Carey Mulligan), a clever and beautiful 17-year-old who is introduced to a glamorous new life in London and lead astray by the older and unsuitable David, played by Jarhead star Peter Sarsgaard. Orlando will play his charming business partner Danny, and former Bond girl Rosamund will play his girlfriend Helen.
